A trade-in puts the value of the phone you already own towards the one you want next. You tell us the make, model and condition, we give you an estimate here, and the figure is confirmed at the counter once we have seen the device.
The estimate on this page is a guide, not a promise. It is worked out from the model and the condition you selected, and it assumes the device powers on, holds a charge and is not locked to somebody else's account. If the device turns out to be in better shape than you described, the offer goes up.
Model and age. The single biggest factor. A phone two years old is typically worth a fraction of what it cost, and the drop is steepest in the first year.
Storage. A 256GB handset is worth meaningfully more than the 128GB version of the same phone, because storage cannot be added later.
Screen and body. A cracked screen is the most common thing that reduces an offer, because we have to replace it before the device can be resold. Light scuffs on the frame barely matter.
Battery health. Below about 80% the battery needs replacing, and that cost comes out of the offer.
Account lock. A device still signed in to an Apple or Google account cannot be resold by anyone. Please sign out before you come in — this is the one thing that can take an offer to zero.
