Specifications are the easy part. The things that actually decide whether a pre-loved handset is a good buy are condition, battery health and storage — in that order.
Condition is what you live with every day. A device graded as excellent will have almost no marks; a good one will have light wear on the frame. Both work identically. If the price gap between two grades is large and you keep your phone in a case, the lower grade is usually the better buy.
Battery is the part that ages whether the phone is used or not. Every device we sell has had its battery checked, and we will tell you the health figure if you ask. A battery can always be replaced later — ours start at £29 — so it should not rule out a phone you otherwise like.
Storage is the one thing you cannot change afterwards on a phone. If you take a lot of photos or video, paying a little more for the larger capacity is the upgrade most people are glad of two years later.
Every device on this site is in one of our shops, so you can also just come and hold both. That tells you more in thirty seconds than any specification table.
